3 Eastern Shore players win thousands in Maryland lottery

The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow, with the last jackpot being hit in April by a player in New York. While that prize money continues to expand, multiple Eastern Shore lottery players won have still won more than $10,000 dollars recently.

Two $10,000-winning scratch off tickets were sold on the Eastern Shore recently. One was sold in the $1 Million Prize game at the Fruitland Wine Rack at 100 West Cedar Lane, and another was sold in Ocean City at Mike's Shell at 12523 Ocean Gateway. The Ocean City ticket was in the "50 Years!" game.

The biggest local winner was a Racetrax ticket for $18,960 that was also sold in Ocean City. This ticket was purchased on July 27 at Beach Barrels at 13207 Coastal Highway, and has been claimed.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations.
